I'm looking for information on Thomas or Richard Field and his wife Mary Hall. According to the IGI, Thomas Field married Mary Hall 23.10.1809 Whipsnade, Beds. Another entry gives the same details, but names him as Richard Field. Mary's year of birth is given as "about 1788, of Whipsnade"
The 1841 census shows them living in Edlesborough, Bucks (transcribed as Fiela) as Thomas and Mary Field.
It would seem Mary Hall is from Whipsnade, although I don't know about Thomas. Their 3 children Ann 1811, Mary 1823 and David 1830 were also born in Whipsnade.
Is it possible to: 1.Confirm if Thomas IS Thomas as it would seem, and not Richard? 2. Trace Mary Hall's baptism/parents.? 3. See if Thomas/Richard was from Whipsnade too?

Hi Beverley,
Just had a quick look at the IGI, the Thomas entry was taken from marriage records, the 2 Richard entries are member-submitted, which partly explains the difference
Will have a look for later census, couldn't see a Richard in 1841

Barbara,
Thank you for all your effort, much appreciated . Don'y worry about not finding them, I've taken up enoughh of your time. I do have David, their son in 1851, he's my 3x great grandfather. At least he stuck to the same name all his life
