My ancestor EMILY CHARLOTTE STEEL was born in 1859 in Digbeth/Walsall. Her parents THOMAS and FANNY STEEL came from Oxford, he was a journeyman baker. They had four daughters. Does anybody have more information about this family? Christina

Are you OK for 1881? They are in Walsall Foreign, Charlotte is a widower, the 4 girls are still at home and unmarried.
This is 1891: RG12/2254 Folio 71 p. 31 Walsall Foreign 21 Selborn Street Charlotte Steel, head, wid, 66, b. London Paddington William G Moseley, son in law, 38, Gas Fitter, b. Walsall Susan Moseley, dau, 38, b. do. Mary A Steel, dau, single, 26, Bridle Stitcher, b. do. Victor W Moseley, grandson, 3mths, b. do.

Dear Tanja! Thank you very much for the information. I must have had the wrong name for the mother. I knew the names of three girls and the name of one husband - Moseley, so it`s the right family. Christina
