Camerons of Wigton

I am trying to trace my ancestors on the male side of the family. As I was born in Scotland I am interested in finding out when and if they migrated from the mother country.

My father Joseph Cameron  1911 died 1977
Grandfather Thomas Cameron born Newburn 1873 died 1939
Great Grandfather Joseph Cameron born Wigton 1853 died 1913
Great Great Grandfather Thomas Cameron born Wigton 1823 died ?
Great Great Great Grandfather Joseph Camern born (town unknown) 1788 died 1861 married Jane Sims Wigton 26/09/1812.

I have CAMERON from Wigton as well, and I also have a cousin online who is or rather was a CAMERON descended from the Cumberland clan.  Does Barney HOuse figure in your family at all?  Contact me by the messaging system on here

It is a farm house that the Edmundsons and then the CAmerons leased justoutside Wigton and still exists to this day
