« on: Sunday 12 June 05 15:13 BST (UK) »

I am researching the Pink family of Hampshire. My grandfather Leonard Clarke Pink 1875to 1951 was born in Wickham and lived in Fareham and for
some time farmed at Whitedell farm. Have you any information

Hi Henryi

Welcome to Rootschat  Cheesy

Have you found your grandfather on the 1881/1891/1901 census?  If not, do let us know and somebody will help you look for him.

Best wishes

Hi Henryi

There is someone on RootsChat who is looking for Pinks in Botley.  She posted a message on the Hampshire board about a year ago, so it's on about page 3 or 4 if you look back.  Her password is Wings99.

She and I got together because we share a common ancestor and one of my male relatives married a Pink.  Casalguidi is right - the best way to start is to get some census information.

Hope you come up with something.

Regards Honeybun
