Cheltenham places

Have 2 problems I am trying to sort out

1. What is or was The Knapp ?

2. I have a birth cert the date is 1843 and has Kew Place as an address but when you check the 1883 map for Cheltenham  ( Mapsonline ) it says Clare Parade , when you check with Google maps it gives it as Kew Place and Clare Place  I would like to know was this area renamed then changed back or could the registrar have known
and put the correct name when the cert was supplied, As I may have found a relative.
