The Miles family of Bedfordshire
« on: Sunday 12 June 05 15:22 BST (UK) »

I am researching the Miles family who were born and lived around Eaton Socon. My 3x great grand father was born in Little Staughton c1796. He was Thomas Miles and his father was Richard Miles. I am trying to link up him with the Miles of Tempsford and Little Barford. Can anybody help.

Richard MILES is listed as a labourer in Little Staughton on the 1803 National Defence Muster List.  Military class 4 so married with children & over 30 [unless he had more than 2 children under 10 then he may be under 30]

You have put your request on the main page - it may be helpful to go to 'lookup requests' page?

Dear Hanryi

Do you have a Frances Marian (Marion) Miles in your family tree? She is my Great

Grandmother. She was born in 1858/1859 possibly in Leighton Buzzard. She married

a Mr Leet or Leat but was widowed by 1884. She had 2 children in Nottingham with

William Whiting but they never married.

Best wishes  Pepsimax
