Hello

I'd be very greatful if someone could look up the following person (& household) for me please on 1851 & 1861 census please?

William Draper WOOD   b1843 Gosberton Clough?

On 1871 census he was aged 27, living at Gosberton Clough.

Thank you for that.  I was hoping he would be with his parents, but at 17 years old i guess I would have been lucky! I also expected him to be a Blacksmiths Apprentice.  Smiley

I'd be very grateful for the 1851 is anyone has access please. He may be shown as WOOD or WOODS

I have found him in 1851

Elizabeth DRAPER (lodger, wid) 68 Annuitant, Fullerby
Sarah A CLARKE (vis) 19 Gosberton
Mary A WILLSON (vis) 14 Gosberton

Having Widow Draper there seems to clinch it!

Someone seems to have done some guesswork on IGI - it may be worth following up though:-

On IGI I found a William Woods bapt 23 April 1844 Gosberton, parent Elizabeth Woods (no farther). I was thinking maybe William was illegitimate and his mother used the farthers surname (Draper) as his second name. So having found him on the 1851 census is very helpful! Thank you.
