Can anyone help with any informatiion on Thomas Garrett Tyler born c 1804 Stilton, I have been told that many parish records were destroyed by a series of fires according to the vicar of the local church St. Mary's. I would be very grateful for any information.

Hi Patrish,

I have the parish records for St Mary's, Stilton and the nearest to the surname is Taylor.  15 Jan 1804  John Taylor son of George and Elizabeth, baptised publicly.  The only Thomas baptised that year was Church, Ruth

Can you not try the 1841 for him? in the area he says he was born in case any of his family are still around.
