1861 census look up - COMPLETED
« on: Monday 13 June 05 11:23 BST (UK) »

Hi,

can anyone find the census entry for  Esther Barraclough, born 06/05/1860 in the district Wortley and Penistone. I think her parents are George and Sarah, but would like to confirm this.

Thanks

Shelagh

Hi,

was the census taken 1860?
if the census was 1861 she should be about 10-11 months old

Sorry Shelagh, got a bit carried away !
You are right, she should be on there but I can't find her.

I have found an Esther born Langsett, which also registers
to Wortley district –  but not the right parents names

1861, Low Hill, Langsett,
Jonas  BARRACLOUGH 33
Sarah Ann 24 wife
Joe 5, son
Charles 4, son
Mary Ann 2, daugh
Esther  11m, daugh

Have you got her in 1871? Are there any siblings ?
I can then check again for you
