DEATH DATES

Hello,
Can anybody help Me with the Death Dates of Three of My Uncles,
1) Ernest William Hayden bd June 1905 of Lyford believed to be living in Faringdon Area in 50s to 70s.
2) Frederick Oliver Hayden bd March 1907 of Lyford Lived in Longworth area 50s to late 70s.
3) Edward Charles Hayden bd June 1909 of Lyford Lived in Hinton Waldrist area 50s to 80s.
Children of Ernest A & Edith E Hayden of Lyford and lived at Longworth.

hello denzall,
to find the death dates you would need to search the General Register Office Indexes of Births Marriages and Deaths, these are listed alphabetically in Quarters for each year. from 1837 - present day.  (it has changed to annual but I can't remember the year it did)
It would probably be impossible for someone to do this without a time frame and location.  You can search the indexes free most local County Records Offices, the FRC in London, and sometimes local libraries may have their area?   (Berkshire Record Office in Reading hold a complete Index for all of England and Wales) The index will only tell you the quarter  (March, June, Sept and Dec)and the year  the registration took place, to get the actual dates of death you would then need to order the certificate.

note that you can quickly spend £10 trying to find your relative, but you may like to try it?

Hello Newbie,
Thanks for your reply I am at present a subscriber to 1837 on line and as you say can soon spend your credits, although on many occasions have found the site very helpfull and as i live in North Yorkshire now find it aukward to get to Reading  thanks Denzall

Hello Denzall,
each County usually has its own Record Office,
I googled "Yorkshire Record Offices" and found this link which lists about 4/5 in different parts of Yorkshire, not sure whereabouts you are in Yorks?

Death November 1994 in Portsmouth, Hampshire age 89
