Hi Billy

If you go to Genuki and do a search for Torquay there are several Trade Directories there for different years and under Educational there is a list of all schools/colleges etc.

I am not sure which one in particular you are after but it might get you started. Smiley

Happy Hunting

Have you anymore information. One of the main boarding type schools was the RC Priory, which although called an orphanage did take boarders.
Let me know and I;ll see what I can find for you- names would be useful

? could the school you are looking for be called Hampton Court at St. Marychurch.  The headmistress was a Miss Julia Strickland and was around in the early 1900s.
The school  still exists under the name of the Abbey, I think.
Visited it a few years ago.
