Edward Ainsworth - Durham Light Infantry 1883
« on: Tuesday 14 June 05 13:31 BST (UK) »

Anybody lost an Edward Ainsworth?

I have a death cert for an Edward Ainsworth died in 1883 of "S.C.Fever" aged 20yrs and 10 months in Gibraltar,  presumably on his way to Egypt with the DLI.

I have been searching for sometime for an Edward Ainsworth born about 1863, and I thought that this was him, but I know for definite that my Edward Ainsworth was in 1st Bn South Staffordshire Regt. who also went out to Egypt at about the same time.
