Gr Grandad born Monifieth.( Banks.)

Could someone help me please. I am trying to find out what happened to my Gr.Gr.Gr Grandparents.     David Banks & Elizabeth Sutherland, they married at Canisbay Caithness 25 Dec 1806.
Their son Donald  (Daniel) was born 18 Aug 1809 at Canisbay.
Donald married  Jane (Jean ) Mc Neilly or (Neilly ) at Liff Benvie & Invergowrie , Augus Dec 9th 1837.
   Their son (My Gr Grandad )David was born at Monifieth, 6 Nov 1838.
  On the 1841 census , Donald & Jane were living at Dalry  Ayrshire.
As Donald was married at Liff Benvie & Invergowrie , I was wondering if  his parents (David & Elizabeth ) also came down from Canisbay.
  Any help would be very much appreciated.
