Hi

We've been doing the June Challenge and I've looked everywhere for

Claude Robertson b. 1865 Peckham / Camberwell

Can't find him after 1891 I've checked American shipping lists and have used all the lateral and creative searches I can think of  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I think he went to the Boer War but can't find a thing ...!!

Could you please help  Huh

Hi annie,
i have checked the national archives and found a few referenences to a Claude Robertson - these are just the references to to contents of the files but may give you a starting point.
The last is the death notice - may be a son. They may all aslo be unconnected! I will do some more checking once I have done the shopping.

Thank you so much for that - it's a little bit of hope - the guy is one of those that fell off the face of the earth - I've checked everywhere I swear - but suddenly thought IF he did go to the Boer War maybe he's still in South Africa

The Memorial Claude Robertson -  is Claude W - he keeps cropping up !- and I wish it was him -  but it's not!!!!!!!

I think the second Claude charged with theft would make our guy too old don't you think?
