Hello again Peter,

Have had a look on the 1851 name index and there are only two Isaac Jepson's listed (neither match yours)   Sad    -

Isaac Jepson - 70 - HO107/ 2123/ 291/ 126
Isaac Jepson -  1  - HO107/ 2153/ 121/ 28

Nor are they in Heage (2154 area).  Also checked under the spelling variation Jephson !!

Have you got him in 1861?  I wondered if that might help trace him in 51.

I've been doing a little bit of detective work since my last post and found this on the IGI (you may have it already but I'll post it anyway) -

Christening - Isaac Jepson
26 May 1844
Heage, Derby
Parents - Isaac & Ann Jepson

also with same parents, same place -

Mary Jepson - 16 Sep 1838
Elizabeth Jepson - 7 Jun 1840
Ellen Jepson - 13 Mar 1842

Could this be your Isaac & family?  If so, this looks like same family on 1841 census -

1841

High St, Heage

Issac Jephson   25   Coal Miner   born in county - yes
Ann Jephson     25                              yes
Mary Jephson     3                              yes

                                      (HO107/ 180/ 13/9)
