Could some kind soul out there look up a death for me please
The details are as follows:
ALEXANDER HORSBURGH b 1789 PRESTONKIRK - SON OF GEORGE HORSBURGH & KATHERINE MURRAY
HE WAS THE HUSBAND OF NICHOLAS SANDILANDS WHO DIED IN 1867. SHE WAS DOWN AS WIDOW OF ALEXANDER HOSRBURGH (DECEASED) WHEN SHE DIED IN MORDINGTON.
I have searched but cannot find him anywhere.

Maybe a coincidence! but there is a burial for an Alexander
Horsburgh 6th March 1878 at Ipswich cemetery, Suffolk.
he was aged 86
There is also a Mary aged 79 on 29th Dec 1875, but seeing his
wife died in 1867 did he re-marry and move away! just a thought

Thanks Saddler but I don't think it is them.
I think Alexander died before Nicholas as she is down as widow on her death entry. It was also in Scotland
Thanks for looking anyway. There are so many Horsburghs, especially Alexanders that I am sure I have missed him somewhere along the way lol

You will need to double check this yourself on scotlandspeople but I found this -
Alex* Hor*
Born in 1789 East Lothian (but not Prestonkirk Parish/District ?)
Married Sand* in 1816 (don't know parish/district)
Died 1858 in East Lothian (don't know parish/district)
Hope I've caught the correct person.

Hi Carol,
Further info, on IgI a Alexander Horseburgh married a Nicoholas Sandelands, 28/9/1816 Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh,Midlothian, father Richard Sandelands.
Also a Jean Horseburgh baptised 26/2/1821 Whitekirk, parents Alexander Horebourgh & Nicholas Sandiland.
As the other person said, you want to go to scotlands people for 1861 census and Alexander's & Nicholas's deat.
