I have info on the birth of William Thorburn, 1818, St Cuthberts, Edinburgh..
Parents..James Thorburn and Ann London...I have been unable to locate marriage info on James and Ann..They are not listed in "ScotlandsPeople", OPR's...
Any suggestions or Lookups...

Have you got the Birth Certificate for William Thorburn, b. 1818, on this it should give his parents names and Marriage year/place, then you should be able to search for marriage, I am not sure how much %  of information ScotlandsPeople have on there site from Register House ??

Hello Researcher

You will not necessary find the date of William's parent's marriage date on a birth certificate pre 1855.  Normally it is just a parish record giving date of birth and parents.

Funnily enough I was looking at that today.  Mother may be Ann Forrester.  Have a look on IGI batch numbers or Family search for William Thornburn with mother Ann Forrester.
