I am in Australia so it is a bit more reasonable for me here..

Didnt realise  you were living in OZ. Boiling hot here for over a week.Off to caithness a week tomorrow. Have to practice drinking the water of life this week.

i have a Margaret Rosie born on Stroma in 1777 married James Bremner in Wick 18/12/1801

my david rosie was born in1796.his father was alexander rosie and his father david rosie and his father alexander rosie born 1765,married to charlotte manson i believe.Confusing all these names repeated.I have ancestors from stroma the simpsons and also banks from dunnet

Please may i join this conversation? I have read your messages with interest as i have been trying to solve my own rosie riddle this week.
My gr gr gr grandfather james dilworth was married to joan sutherland from wick.I think joans parents were john sutherland and christian rosie.
Christians parents being alexander rosie and charlotte manson.
But i was told yesterday that i am wrong and that christian married a  john mckay sinclair and her mother was christina manson.
Can anyone help me solve this puzzle?
