Horton Hall, Gisburn
« on: Thursday 16 June 05 11:04 BST (UK) »

Can anyone tell me about this Horton Hall? Is it a building or a place?

Around the 17th Century there were a Wilkinson family living there, who are connected to an Harling line i think may be connected to my own Harling branch. This line goes back to 1490, and alls i need to do is prove a relationship between Edward Harling, born in Preston in the 1840's and Charles Harling born in Preston in c1869.

Hi XPhile

I don't think that it is a place - so I guess it must be a building.

There is reference to it here http://www.thornber.net/famhist/htmlfiles/gisaus.html

Best wishes
