Edmund Crozier Harrison
1881 Census: age 36; 1901 Census: age 53.
Both censuses say he was born in Carlisle.
Any information on parents, siblings etc welcome.

If you obtained a birth certificate, it will give you his parents names, plus his mothers maiden name.
Found this on the following site, there is also a marriage entry for a Edmund Crozier Harrison for the March quarter of 1872 registered in Leeds.

Have just found a christening for a Edmund Crozier Harrison, he was christened on the 04-03-1845 at St. Marys Church, Carlisle, and his parents are Joseph Crozier Harrison and his mother is called Anne (Does not give her maiden name)

There is a marriage on the freebmd site, for a Joseph Crozier Harrison, marriage registered March quarter of 1840 St. Geo.Han.Sq.
The only Anne on there is Anne Harrison?

Hi! Catherine,
This is again remarkably useful. You are clearly an ezpert.
I am trying to work forwards as well as backwards in my search and have found Edmund's daughter Edith who was the wife of Julian Langner, at least when tghey registered a daughter in 1915. He may well have been born in Wales, since I found a record of a Julian Langner in Wales whose mother's second name was Cecile. The daughter of Julian and Edith Langner, born in 1915, was Elizabeth Cecile langner.
I have not been able to find the record of the Welsh Julian Langne a second time.
Any ideas will be most welcome - though I won't be able to respond to two weeks as I am going on holiday.
