Looking for info. on Margaret Brennan. She married James Henry Wilson in London, Census records show her birthplace as Stanley Durham. She would have been born about 1858. Her father was Willaim Brennan---a blacksmith. Any info appreciated.

Can you give a bit more detail here?   Quote the exact census records that you have and the marriage details.  Who were the witnesses?   Her occupation and her husband's?   Every bit helps.   I cannot find her on the 1861 for Stanley at the moment but she could actually be in one the villages around there.    Have you looked for a possible birth on the Durham BMDs?

I have now found them in 1891 and seeing the age of the eldest son at home decided that she must be a second wife.   I see that James is a widower in 1881.   I assume you know that.    Will keep looking.

Hi Andrea,

James Wilson died in 1898 in London. He was a lastmaker. James and Margaret married at the Parish Church in St. George Hanover Square in London October 15 1882.Margaret died in London in 1940. The family is found in the 1891 and 1901 census in London, both times showing Margaret as from Stanley Durham. I believe that the family lived in London all the time.
Thank you so much for all your efforts.
