You could probably contact the town hall and ask if they could send you a picture of it.

Matt,
Bad news, I'm afraid. I've tried to get into the Town Hall to take the photo, and there's a huge convention on with security men (MIB, I jest not) everywhere.
Also, the plaque has been moved, it is no longer in the foyer.
The receptionist said that if I ring in three weeks time or so, the official guide will take me to see it.
As to Pte J.H. Armitage, I don't know that it's my grandfather's name, but it seems more than likely, since he was a professional soldier (a serjeant) in 1909.
Watch this space...very slowly.
