Hi,
I am looking for Thomas Callear and his wife Letitia on the 1871 census. I have recently requested a look up for the same couple on the 1861 census, without success. I have since discovered that both were alive in 1871, and I have found Letitia on the 1881 census, so I'm hoping that the details taken from that may help someone to locate them.
1881 Census - Littesha Callear, 67 b. Wellington, widowed, pauper. Living in Caplands Road, Wellington, Shrops.
They are hard to track down due to the variety of spellings of their surname, these include -Callier/Callear/Calleer/Gallier/Gallear/Galler/Caller.
Letitia's husband is Thomas, and he was born in Wellington, Shrops. abt. 1814. On the 1841 & 1851 census his occupation is coal miner.
I am fairly certain that they will be living in the Wellington district, poss. in Ketley or Ketley Bank.
