Hi there,
Is there anybody out there who lives very close to Gedding Church 
I m trying to trace a burial from about 15 years ago and doubt very much whether it will be on record at Ipswich. Gwendolene Simonds wife of either Frederick or Harry Simonds should read on a headstone if any.
I know this is a very cheeky request but if anybody can help I d be very very grateful.

GWENDOLINE SIMONDS Death registered Jan/93 Bury St Edmunds District Suffolk (d.o.b. 14 Jul 1926)
This is from the death registration index. If you don't get a better offer I can check the churchyard in a couple of weeks time.

Hi Chris,
Thanks very much for that, I think it must be the one. If you are able to check Gedding churchyard I d be obliged as I m curious as to the headstone inscription if any. Please don t make a special though, only if convenient for you at some time.

Sorry about the delay. Finally went to Gedding this evening.
In Loving Memory of a
Dear Mother GWENDOLINE SIMONDS
who fell asleep 23rd Jan 1993 aged 66 years
To awake again in heaven
There was a small basket on the grave with fresh flowers.

Can t thank you enough for doing that for me, just the result I was hoping for. It helps no end. Next step is to find out how she came to be buried in GEDDING !!!
