Am not sure whether to inquire here or on Hampshire board but will start here.

I have been researching families in Downton, Wiltshire and have also looked at Church records from Lymington, Boldre area in Hampshire. I note that many of the names of the Downton families are fairly well represented in the coastal region.

Were there estates in each area with common ownership which might explain what seems to
be a significant migration pattern?
