Hi,
I am looking for my husband's family Proffitt. They came from Walsall, Wednesbury, Darlaston. I am also looking for family of Tom White same area.
Also looking for Revitt family from Bloxwich. Many thanks for any help you may be able to give.

Hi Tess,

I may be able to provide you with some information on my PROFFITT family. They are from Walsall. My great Grandfather was Arthur Henry PROFFITT (b. 1876) and he had brothers Ernest, Charles, Thomas and Sidney. No Rosie or katherine that I can be sure of though. Maybe there is a link to your husband's family?

I can't provide any information further back than my Great Grandfather, but his mother was called Leah (nee HADLEY). Leah's eldest son, Thomas, married Alice - thier son was Clifford PROFFITT (b. 1917 d. 13/6/1944 Burma) m. Florence Mabel ? - he was a Chindit in WWII.
