Looking for a John Howe old enough to have fathered a George How(e) in 1816

Thanks

hi Debbie
is it possible to narrow the field a little as there are a few John How(e)that could possibly be George's father.Any possible clue to either parents name or where they were born.

Busy tidying up Debbie. Did you have any further information to add here, that may help Jericho to locate him for you?

Hot Really I'm afraid - George became a minister in the baptist church and I have found him in all the census years - 1st in Warminster then in Cardiff and finally in London in each of them he gives Little Torrington as his place of birth and the date approx 1816 - from his marriage we know his father was John,  however another researcher on these boards (another Debbie in fact) has looked for his baptism - even kindly went to the RO to do it and we can't find it, given his later profession it was probably non-conformist, so I am afraid I am now stuck - I will probably have to try and get to Exeter RO some time, but it is a way from Derby and will have to wait a bit.

Many thanks for the interest

Debbie
