Portsea Island Burial? 1866.

Trying to trace burial place for GGGGrandfather.  He lived on Portsea Island at the time of his death in 1866 and I wonder if anyone has information on burial grounds in the local area and where I could obtain information.  He was a doctor in the Royal Navy and worked at the Royal Hospital at Haslar - I don't know if he would be buried in a navy cemetary or a civilian one.  Name was Alexander McKechnie.

The local cemeteries at that time were (with dates for the index at Portsmouth Record Office)

Highland Road Cemetery   1854 - 1989   
Kingston        1860 - 1990
Mile End Cemetery   1830 - 1956

I am not aware of any naval cemeteries in Portsmouth, but I could be wrong.
