I am trying to find Mary Wilkins, a widow, in the 1841 Census.
She was born in Ardington in 1779 and had the following children, all baptised at Ardington.
Francis b1806 Martha b1808 Eliza b1814 Charles b1819 Mary b1822 George b1825
Thanks!

That's brilliant! I was hoping that she might be living with one of her children, but to find so many of them together is just great,
Thanks for your help.

The info I have is that Francis Kent married Sarah Lewis on 12th Oct 1778 at Ardington and that they had 2 children Mary christened on 20th June 1779 and Martha christened on 9th Dec 1781.
I have details on the burials of Francis at Ardington and Sarah at East Hendred: Francis Kent - a young married man - died on 25th Sept 1786 and was buried on 27th Sept 1786 Sarah Kent was buried on 1st July 1821
Mary Kent had 3 illegitimate sons before marrying John Wilkins and it's interesting that she named her first legitimate son Francis (after her father) and her first legitimate daughter Martha (probably after her sister).
I have never been able to find out what happened to Martha Kent, so if you do happen to come across her in the parish records.....!
Anyway, thanks again for taking the trouble to reply.
Best wishes,
