Looking for the marriage of Jethro DOBSON to (possibly) Elizabeth MAIRNS, in Clewer, Berkshire.
Jethro was born 1774 in Clewer, and his first son David was born in Clewer in 1801, so I suppose a date range of 1795-1801 would be about right.
Would love it if someone could have a look for this couple, please! Elizabeth is proving a sticking point in this tree!!

Hello Prue,
From looking for Elizabeth Mairn in the John Brookes Marr Index I now moved on to the Clewer Parish Transcriptions.
Marriages 1784 - 1803 and Banns 1784 - 1802.
BRO Ref D/P39/1/4
Clewer St Andrew ( Ref T/R 377.)
No marriage for Jethro Dobson and Elizabeth Mairns ( or any other spouse)
Looked for Baptism of Elizabeth Mairns in Transcription
Clewer Baptisms 1607-1812, none. and also no Nairns.
Tried looking for Dobsons there are various transcriptions in the file (which is very comprehensive and large) I did find it a bit confusing at first, the sections are split between the register and the B.T.'s and into year blocks of Baptisms, marriages, banns, and burials.
This is exactly what I have found for Dobson, but I would be more than willing to try again if something looks interesting or to look at the original film/fiche if you want.

Checked Index to Clewer Marriages 1607 -1754 by Male Surname - No Dobson.

I think I would like to have another look just to clarify a few points, the book of Transcriptions is made up of lots of sections, some are from the Register and some from the BT's you may like me to clarify some of the above as to whether it's from the Register or the BT's. I didn't realise until it was nearly time for me to go that I hadn't recorded that info. - well I did where it was clearly stated but several sections didn't seem to be, so will have another look for you..

Went to the Record Office and redid the look up, looking for any Dobson in Clewer, here is what I found. Everything is written exactly as stated/found.
Transcriptions of Indexes and Registers, B.T.'s etc. Clewer.
