1851 census derbyshire lookup please

i am looking for a Charles Roe born abt 1828 Smalley, Derbyshire. his wife Sarah Roe born abt 1830 Chesterfield, Derbyshire and their children William Roe born abt 1849 Derbyshire and Marian Roe born abt 1851.

Hello Amanda,

This is what is recorded on the 1851 name index -

2143 - 48 - 152

Charles Roe - 23
Sarah Roe - 20
William Roe - 2
Maria Roe - 7m

I note that they are in St. Peter's, Derby in 1861 and this tallys with the above reg. district, "2143" includes St. Peters.

I notice Charles was born in Smalley, have you seen this excellent one parish study for Smalley - it may be of interest to you.
