PRs for Warwick, Cumberland
« on: Wednesday 15 June 05 10:47 BST (UK) »

Does anyone have access to the above, please?
I am seeking the baptism of a William BROWN around 1811. His age was given as 49 at the 1861 Census, and 59 in 1871. His bithplace is clearly Warwick, Cul., not War. (!!)

You should be able to order the film of the parish records from your nearest LDS centre and search it there.  (listed on the familysearch site)  As no-one has replied immediately it does not look as if anyone has a transcript.    The record office will know if a transcript has been done so it might be worth ringing them.    They will do a search too but it costs!

Thanks Andrea. Regrettably my nearest LDS Centre is extremely unhelpful, so in tha absence of other offers I will have to go the Cumbria Archives route. If they can help, the cost should be less than a trip from North Wales to Carlisle!
