Hi folks,
I'd be grateful for any help with my research into the Curtis families of Basingstoke, Hampshire.
For 1861 I am researching:
Joseph Curtis, age about 71 Sarah Curtis, age about 76, same household
Harriot Curtis, age about 38
Cheers,
James, Sydney, Australia

the only Sarah Curtis I could spot in Basingstoke has a husband John... Could this be the family?

Hi Tanja,
I'm not sure if this is my Curtis family or not.
Joseph and Sarah had at least two children, Elizabeth and Harriot, who were born in Old Basing. By 1845, Elizabeth had married and moved to Overton. On Elizabeth's marriage cert, Joseph is listed as a 'labourer' so I doubt this is the same family.
It's possible that Joseph and Sarah remained in Old Basing.
Many thanks for your help.
James
