Hi,

I have modified this post because I have now found some information, please see below and if it rings any bells with anyone.

Thanks in advance for any help.


Herbet Cronshaw Pollitt born blackburn 1915 died Bridlington 1992
Parents are Emma Pollitt and John Edward Cronshaw.

Married June Sylvia Shepherd (Cronshaw Pollitt   born Hull 1928 died Bridlington 2000

They lived in Gargrave until at least 1974.

The Next of Kin or a person who has permission of NOK can apply for Army Service Records WW2.  Such Records contain many personal records,  addresses and Military History.
It will cost you £30 and a waiting time of a couple of months.

Thanks very much, I knew that information as it is registered BMD for Blackburn, problem is, it would only supply me with the Blackburn address and they moved to York soon after  Huh
