Can anyone help with any information on Eliza Tysa born c 1797 Ingatstone Essex, she married Thomas Garrett Tyler 21.4.1825 Christ Church, Greyfriars, Newgate, London. Grateful for any help.

I looked this up at Essex Record Office ref:Ingatestone baptisms D/P 31/1/2 fiche 2 of 2
I searched from about 1792 to 1803 and did not see TYSA name.
I did see the name VEZA a few times in that time frame and just in case there has been a transcription error along the line (including one by me!) I list those below:
Mary baptised No 2 1794
Deborah baptised may 8 1796
Jonas baptised Aug 3 1798
Ann baptised Nov 16 1800
In each case parents were Thomas and Elizabeth VEZA

Thanks for reply. I have viewed the original parish entry record 1824 for their marriage, it definately states Eliza Tysa , it a strange surname I admit.think I will have to get daughters birth to see mothers maiden name.

I just checked with the IGI and the VEZAs I listed are included there under Ingatestone.
I have come across the name TYSER (one of my clients had that name!!) and I have just checked Eliza TYSER in IGI and got a few hits in Loughton, Essex not all that far fron Ingatestone

Thanks Clincher I have checked the IGI for a birth of Eliza Pheobe Tyler to find mothers maiden name but no luck, her parents married Christ Church, Greyfriars, Newgate, 1824. may have to visit Guildhall Library and check Parish Records. Patrish
