Older but not wise enough
George Davies from Dudley

Hi is anybody researching a George Davies from Dudley Sedgley.  I have found him in 1841 married to a Charlotte Bradley.  One of his children John b.1840 m. Sarah Parkes father Henry also from Sedgley, Gornal Wood and they moved to Wigan about 1880.

I don't have a George as yet, BUT I have a Catherine Davies born 1840 from Auvley(/Audley?), my gg grandmother who was married to Samuel Woodcock. They lived in Dudley. Catherine's father was Thomas Davies.
For more information try sending an email to
gilbert.jones@blueyonder.co.uk as he is a transcriber for the 1851 census of Worcs (inc Dudley) and has helped me many times before. He has already sent me a list of the C Davies in 1851 which I cannot attach as it is a Word.doc. I can send you that if you think it of any use Roll Eyes.
