My Caldwell"s came from Northern Ireland, Londonderry, they went to Nova Scotia via USA in 1771.  The eldest one was born in 1700, I am trying to find the Irish connection.  Please let me know what names you have or are researching......G. Caldwell

I am also searching for my Caldwell ancestors. My 2nd great grandmother was Jane Caldwell born about 1826. She married Ralph Campbell of Cullion, Clonallan (Hilltown), County Down. I think she might have been the daughter of a James Caldwell perhaps of Drumarkin. I understand the Caldwells of Drumarkin are the people I am looking for. They were Presbyterian. Any one out there know of the Caldwell family of Drumarkin?? Gwittich.

I have a Thomas Caldwell in my tree, it only say ireland. His son and daughter were called James and jane. His other children were called Margaret, Thomas and Eleanor/Ellen.

He was born about 1839. He had a brother Robert too. His occupation was Iron Puddler.

Have you come across any of that info in your search?
