Ah KJ, everywhere you turn leads you to that "brick wall".
Ibi, if you are out there, have you any thoughts on the situation 
With my "limited" knowledge of genealogy, I can only think that Ann's death certificate was one of the "escapees", or she married again and her death was only recorded under her "new" married name, with no previous names given? ? I see Helen, daughter, died in Aberdeen. Could she have gone there with the family after the boys died  So many questions, not a lot of answers

Hi dkmcad,  Helen Duncan Shand/ Connon, died of Anaemia, in the Hospital Aberdeen, Her residence, was still Hobshill, Hatton, Cruden, Hope this helps, and Yes, ibi, I would love your input, if you have the time. kenjo

Hi Rena and ellonavon, Yes the girls did do a great job.........  but sadly no...I have never found anymore than this.... the only thing ..I was thinking is if Ann did die in the district then ...I would have thought she would have be buried in the same church yard....and also her sons.... so I think..........that she emmigrated to  ?? with her son.
