On the 1871 Census found the following:-

William Ryrie aged 53 Fisherman born in Wick, Caithness

Anne Ryrie aged 51 Born in Wick, Caithness

William Ryrie aged 22 Mason Born in Wick, Caithness

Donald Ryrie aged 21 Mason Born in Wick, Caithness

Margaret Ryrie aged 15 Born In Wick, Caithness

Address is 43 Bank Row, Wick, Caithness..

No sign of Jane there... but did find another Ryrie family in Wick a Donald Ryrie with his wife Williamina and they had a daughter Jane aged 19

Best Wishes

Hi Mo,

Just to say thanks for the census info. The first family is correct as her Father & Mother, William & Ann nee Miller were named on her death certificate. Jane married in Glasgow in 1874 so presume she was in Glasgow in 1871.

Regards Sue
