I am hoping to locate James and Marie/a Hutchinson in the 1841 census. They are parents of Charles E. Hutchinson, who would be one to three years old in 1841.
The most likely locations are Duffield or Derby.
Thank you in advance for for any assistance you may be able to provide!
I requested a lookup in the 1851 census earlier, and while two Charles Hutchinsons of the right age appeared, neither was living in a Hutchinson household. A very kind respondent is checking further at this stage and had suggested making a request for 1841 information.
I do not have any corraborative information about where the family may have been during these years, but Charles had a younger sister Emma who was married at the parish church in Duffield in 1867. James Hutchinson is listed as deceased in that record.
Thank you very much for the IGI information; I am following up on that. Any other suggestions are most welcome. I appreciate your help.
Thanks to the extra information I think I've cracked it. Looked up Emma on the IGI parents James & Maria and came up with the following listings in Muggington -
Christenings -
Eliza Hutchinson - 29 Apr 1831 James Hutchinson - 25 Dec 1834 Charles Hutchinson - 21 May 1843 Emma Hutchinson - 21 May 1843 George Hutchinson - 2 Sept 1847
Muggington, Derby Parents - James & Maria Hutchinson ----------------------------------------------------------------
Marriage - James Hutchinson & Maria Keeling 23 Nov 1829 Muggington, Derby -----------------------------------------------------------------
This enabled me to look for them in Muggington in 1841
1841
Taghole Lane, Muggington
Mary Keeling 71 born in county - yes Fanny Keeling 4 yes James Hutchinson 35 Ag Lab yes Maria Hutchinson 30 yes James Hutchinson 6 yes Charles Hutchinson 3 yes

All ties together nicely doesn't it!! The Charles from All Saints was obviously a red herring - as it looks as though your Charles was christened with his sister when he was a toddler. Sometimes you forget that christening dates and birthdates are not the same thing. By the way, Muggington is 4 miles west of Duffield.
I do love it when it all turns out right in the end.
