Peterborough c 1822 &  d c 1892 age 69 he lived with his daughter Annie Goodman nee  Green in Ernest Terrace Dogsthorpe  Peterborough c 1891  I do not know his wife's Name or when or where they married or if they had more than 1 daughter, basicly I do not realy know much at all about them, what I do know is curtessy of Sandy & Susan from a previous lookup.
Susan is certainly right this family research is very addictive
Thanks for any help with this one

Mary Green, wife, age 53, laundress born Cambridgeshire Littleport
George Goodman, grandson, age 2 born Cambridgeshire Whittlesey

Hi
This looks like the 1851

George Green age 28
Mary age 31
Ann age 3

Whittlesey
HO107/1765 38B

Sorry dont have the 1861 to check if they had anymore children.
Perhaps put out a new post for the 1861 Whittlesey.

For Cambridgeshire, the following link is excellent.

Hope this helps

Hi Jim

Further to your PM, I had a look for a marriage, but all I came up with on freebmd was this:

George GREEN Downham Sept q 1844 13 161

Mary GILSON also on page

Your Mary came from Littleport which is not a million miles from Downham, but you need an expert to tell you which reg district that would be!

Also you might expect them to have had a child earlier than Ann's birth ??

The George Green marriage in 1844 is my 2x Gt Grandfather's marriage to Ann Haines at Downham Market Registry Office - so will not be what you are looking for.

At a guess I would say your George & Mary married in 1846/7 in, probably, Littleport. May I suggest you ask Bruce Frost of the Littleport Society? He has all Littleport records & could find a George Green & Mary marriage for you if there was one in the village. His address is email address removed by moderator to prevent spam - please exchange via Rootschat secure PM system

As you've probably gathered I, too, am researching the Green surname. I don't think we are related but if you do find your line takes you to Litcham, Norfolk do get back to me.

Regards

Brenda
