Hi Brenda
I am searching Hazel also but sorry I don't have anything much to go on yet except that it is my Maternal Grandmothers maiden name and I know she was born in England somewhere between 1895 and 1905 I figure - she always made herself older when younger so she could work and so no one new the real age anymore - plus she refused to discuss any family she had over in England after she came to Canada - she was here by 1925

Hello Marliz

I'm sorry but I'm afraid I can't help you. Hazel didn't join my family until Sarah Hazel married my 3x Great Grandfather in 1805. She was born in 1786 in Gressenhall although some of her siblings were born in Scarning.

Although I have a few details of descendants of a brother the latest Hazel record I have is a baptism of 1803.

Maybe we'll be in touch later when you have managed to progress further back in time.

Hi

I have been doing a lot of research on Brocks in Norfolk, but not in the villages you mention. Mostly in Yarmouth, but also in the Denton area and Alburgh. Any use to you? I have several dozen of 'em, some linked to my tree, some to each other, but not mine, and some just floating about... The records date from the present day to the late 1700's.

best wishes

Hello Meles

Thank you for contacting me.

My 4x Gt Grandmother was Mary BROCK born 1747, daughter of William BROCK & Mary Gathergood who married in 1736 in West Bradenham. Their other children were: John 1737, Ann 1739 & William, all baptised in East Bradenham.

William senior was born about 1700, I don't know where but he married his first wife, Elizabeth Margotson of Scarning, in Wendling in 1733.

Do any of these names ring a bell with you?

Regards

Hi Brenda

I have no records for any Brocks in the East Dereham area. The Records I have are for the area East of Norwich - my lot seem to have kept to the Broads.

If you come across any records pre-1800 for this area, please let me know. I will keep an eye out for your Brocks.

best wishes

Hello Norm

Not that I'm aware of but my Blanchflower connection dates back to an Ann baptised in 1725 in Sporle with Palgrave & I have no details of descendants of any possible siblings, hers being the only baptism found so far. Sorry I can't help.

Hi, Brenda

I have in my wife's tree an Edward Annison b. abt. 1783, but in West Somerton. It's only about half an hour away by car!

Hello Roger

I'm afraid I have no Annison data, only that Elizabeth Annison married John Pilch in 1657 in North Runcton. She was baptised in 1621 in North Runcton, d/o Leonard & Margaret Annison. So we may be related but I don't know how/when. Sorry I can't help.

Do any of your Haynes ancestors come from the Emneth area (very close to Outwell). My Haynes ancestors were from this area. Do the names William 1737, Charles Fox, John 1770,Mary 1773, Sarah 1774, Elizabeth 1778, Ann 1785.
Charles Fox Haynes Married Mary Gilbert, they lived in Outwell, their children were Margaret 1798, Henry 1801 Mary 1803.

PM me if these names ring any bells and I can give you a link to my family tree.

Hello Andrea

As far as I'm aware there is no connection between our 2 families, but I'm sure there is further back in time, they were so close. All my Haines/Haynes/Hains were from Littleport &Welney area. I'm stuck with a John & Alce Haines who baptised a son, John, in 1769 in Welney but have no idea where/when they married or whether there were any more children baptised elsewhere. If you have come across a John & Alce in your researches I would be very interested.

Had a look at my tree, no John marrying an Alice.

Never mind.

Heya!  I'm an Annison from Norfolk...

I'm happy to share what information I have, if it's of any use to you, but I am also trying to trace my father's line backwards for medical reasons.

================================

My father is Ronald Philip Annison, my mother Linda Doreen Annison (nee Lansdale), still living in Costessey, Norwich.

-----------------------------------------

His father was Philip Annison (b maybe 23rd May of 1904 or 1905, d 26 Jan 1982) , married to Hilda Maud Annison (nee Nelson, b maybe June/July 1908 or 9, d 24 Dec 1992). They lived in Birdcage Row, Costessey, and 63 Richmond Rod, Costessey and lastly 148 Moore Avenue, Sprowston. He was a woodcarver and sometime poacher.  (he also had another son, my uncle Richard Annison, who lives in Sprowston)

-----------------------------------------

Philip Annison's father was Albert Annison, who lived in Waterloo Road, Norwich, and he was the youngest of many.

-----------------------------------------

Hilda Maud Nelson (later Annison) was born to Charles Nelson and Emily Nelson, of Home Street, Norwich. I believe that she also came from a large family.

================================
I believe my great-grandparents were Albert Annison (who was also known as "Dutch", and was legendarily strong) and Elizabeth (aka Liz) but I was unable to track down any of their other children.

If you heve anything that would be of any help to me, I would much appreciate it, and it may be of real benefit to someone!
