Elizabeth Fowler Marriage 1871 Medway

I am just starting to research this branch of the family.
Elizabeth Ann Fowler married Frederick Grey in Medway in Feb/March 1871 (FreeBMD). I am going to be sending for this certificate (when I get a few more to include).
In the meantime I was wondering if anyone is researching the Fowler family in this region. Elizabeth was born c. 1852 but I can't find her on FreeBMD. I know this couple move to Hereford soon after their marriage but I don't know if her family was from this area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am putting together a family history for my mother's 70th birthday this November.

Hi galena

Just browsing through and came across your message.  Have you tried the 1837 website - it's searchable online for a minimum fee of £5 which gives you a lot of hits.  Its the General Register Index of births, marriages and deaths from 1837 and although it will only give you the date and place of the event, this might be enough to start the ball rolling.  I have found it very useful.

Hi Galena,

Have you tried CityArk, you can search some parish records for some churches in Medway online.  If you read throught the Woolton messages on this Kent page there's an expanation of how to use it.
