Grey Family 1874 Burghill
« on: Friday 16 July 04 15:50 UTC (UK) »

I am just starting to research this branch of my family.
Elizabeth Ann Fowler married Frederick Grey in Medway Kent in Feb/March 1871 (FreeBMD). I know this couple move to Hereford soon after their marriage but I don't know if her family was from this area. Frederick Grey was born in Scotland and I have him in 1874 as a Private, H.M. 23rd Welsh Fusiliers. The had a daughter Gertrude Maud Grey b May 1874 in "Widemarsh, Holmer, Burghill, Hereford". The family emmigrated to Canada in 1886. I can't find them on 1881 census
I am trying to find information on:
-any more children
- the Welsh Fusiliers in Hereford area or overseas postings
-any other suggestions anyone can offer
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am putting together a family history for my mother's 70th birthday this November.
