Is there an index for the 1841 Devon census. If so how can I buy one. I have borrowed a copy of the census on CD, but I'll die from eyestrain soon.

Hi Mary
The Devon census is available in searchable form at British Origins but you do have to pay - various subs, yearly is twenty something good value as it includes Dorset, Gloucs, Cambs, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincs and Essex and is expanding.
