BEACH/MORGAN/JAMES/HOPE/ Pridith (Priddy) - Garway, St Weonards
« on: Sunday 03 July 05 11:39 BST (UK) »

Hi there - Two sides of my family lead back to Garway, my GG-grandfather Samuel Beach was born there, son of Isaac and Comfort James, Comfort as the daughter of James James and Margaret Beach, and Samuel Beach married Eliza Hope, daughter of John Hope and Sarah Beach (are you following all this? I'll be asking questions later) so it would seem my Beach line did not spread out very far, and I believe they are linked to the Beach family that lived around Grosmont/St Maughans in the mid 1700's, is there anyone else researching this lot.
And my wifes G-grandfather George Morgan was born Garway, son of John Morgan (Blacksmith), In 1841-51 he is living in St Weonards, Johns wife was a Pridith (Priddy) born St Weonards. These Morgans like most Garway families have links to Grosmont and Skenfrith, George marries  a Sarah Lambert, parents Thomas Lambert and Wilmet (Johnson) born Plymouth.     Anyone see a link? then let me know cheers Fred

Hi Fred,

My great great great aunt Elizabeth Pritchard married Benjamin Beech who I believe was the brother of your GG grandfather Samuel.  I have more information on my website at http://www.myfamilyhistory.org.uk under the family tree section.

Regards,
Gerald

Hello Cousin Gerald, Yes that's my family, the house where Bemjamin and Samuel were born is still there, and I can take you back a few generations if you stop with Isaac, over the River Monnow into Monmouthshire, St Maughans and Grosmont,to eallier links between the Beach and James families.   Hey this is great.

The link you have to India is interesting, my mothers father was in the Indian Army, and my grandmother went with him.  Two sets of twins, and one other infant sadly died there.  India wasn't a good place for european women, and I hope tp find out more.  At the moment I have two girls deaths registered.

There is too much info to send via the boards, I'll send my e-mail   Fred

Gerald where are you, sorryl, it probably says on your website
