I have two Richards, Elizabeth Richards b. abt 1760 of Colchester, m. Joseph Cross, and Hezekiah Richards b. abt 1768 of Colchester.
Elizabeth named one of her son's Hezekiah Richards Cross, and a brother of his had his children baptised the same day and church as Hezekiah's son Hezekiah Jr's children. I think there's a family link. I think Elizabeth is Hezekiah Jr.'s aunt or cousin. can someone help me with this family?
I find this information on Hezekiah and his descendants;
there is a Hezekiah Richards baptised 29 Oct 1770, St. Mary's, Nottingham, Nottingham, England. father John, mother Mary. is this him? (I know, that isn't Essex, bear with me, please)
Hezekiah Richards m. Ann Harrys 24 Feb 1790 in Lawford, Essex. they had at least one child, Hezekiah, Jr., who was baptised 13 Oct 1791 in Lawford. H. Jr. m. Elizabeth Ledbroke 23 Jul 1808 in Colchester. she was b. abt 1792 in Wivenho, Essex.
who were H. Sr's parents? who were H. Sr.'s siblings?
Elizabeth and Joseph are my 4x great grandparents.
thank you for any help in finding Elizabeth's ancestry-and Hezekiah's as well

Burial Hezekiah Richards 27 Jan 1771 at St Nicholas Church Nottm Notes Son of John
I can see no other Hezwkiah Richards. in any of B/DM/ that I have of Nottm.

many, many thanks for the look-up, Mabel! I assume this is Church of England? and is he an adult or a child, can you tell?
curiouser and curiouser. if he's an adult, then this gives me another generation of Hezekiah Richards. he's the earliest found, so far.
this might make it;
1) Hezekiah son of John d. 1771
is there a generation missing here??? if not, Hezekiah "no. 1" could have died when Hezekiah "no. 2" was a baby or toddler. (see further)
2) Hezekiah m. 1790 to Anne Harrys
3) Hezekiah son of H. & Anne Harrys b. 1791 m. 1808 to Elizabeth Ledbroke
4) Hezekiah son of H. & Eliz. Ledbroke b. 1813 m. Hannah __?__
the other possibility is that he's a brother of Hezekiah who m. Anne Harrys, a brother who died young.
would you please check for an Elizabeth Richards b. abt 1760 with a possible father Hezekiah? many thanks in advance!

my latest additions to my notes for Hezekiah who m. Ann Harrys is this;

no, that Hezekiah is probably

the mother is either Mary Spur or Mary Aylene
I assumw there must be two Johns, as well.
John Richards m. Mary Aylene at St Nicholas Nottingham on 26 March 1770, both of this parish
John Richards of Keyworth co Notts, married Mary Spurr at Bunny co Notts on 10 feb 1770.
can anyone add to this or clarify it? I assume that maybe after the child Hezekiah died, they moved elsewhere, perhaps closer to Colchester, but I have no idea when or where.
