I believe these two were born in Kildare, though I haven't found their records, yet.
they m. 3 March 1840 in Kilcock.
they had 7 children;
Margaret b. 1841, Bridget b. 1843, Mary b. 1836, Catherine b. 1848, Peter b. 1850, Patrick b. 1855, Anne b. 1860-in all but Peter's case the b. stands for baptised, not born. Peter was born in 1850 and baptised in 1852. all were baptised in Kilkock.
Peter changed his surname spelling to Ledwedge.
we don't know what happened to Margaret, Mary or Catherine.
Bridget m. James Mulloy and they had at least 2 children.
Peter came to America and married Elizabeth McElvoy
Patrick m. Bridget McCann
Ann m. Patrick Monahan
Peter and Elizabeth are my husband's great grandparents. we'd love to hear from relatives.

son of a gun, Christopher! thank you! I checked Griffith's and couldn't find them-maybe it was Ancestry's, which sometimes doesn't have everyone in the record listed, or has them so poorly transcribed finding them is a miracle.
Cloncurry is in the right area. does the valuation give more than that? I've never ordered the 'films because the area was so spread out, and I wasn't sure where to start.
now for what ever reason, I never got a notice that I had a message from you and I've been remiss in checking in, so you now know why I took so long to get back to you. as it is now I'm using a really terrible webmail program to get my emails because my own computer is not working right, so I'm lucky to get much of anything! Oh, well.
