1851 census - House/Howse
« on: Thursday 07 July 05 14:04 BST (UK) »

Can someone look on either the 1841 or 1851 census for me please.
I'm looking for William and Elizabeth House or Howse.  William was born c1818 in Stanford and I believe they were living there in 1851
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi

I've just checked the 1851 census index for that district  - and I am afraid there is no William House or Howse of that age - there is one aged 79 and one aged 6  - and no Elizabeth House/howse at all - Sorry

Hi,

I have the parish record transcripts for Stanford.

There is a William Howse baptised in 1818, but I'm just cooking tea, so I'll have a proper look later.

Bye for now

Hi
That would be great.  I think my William House/Howse's parents were William and Martha, but I don't know any more than that. Any other you could find would be great

Yes this is definitely them.  Was there an occupation for William?
Thanks for all your help - I was a little unsure about the year of birth and you have now confirmed this for me.
