I have an Elizabeth JONES in my tree, and I am tryng to trace her BMD details.
She was born in Caernervon around 1867-1870, to parents: W Harrison JONES and his wife, Mary.
Elizabeth then married, in the June ¼ of 1885, to Peter CONROY,also in Caernarvon.
Any details would be greatly received.

Hi BC,
do you have her in any census?
Have you ordered her marriage cert?
I had a look at the BMD for Caernarfonshire, there are 14 Conroy entries, but no births after 1885. Did they stay in the area, or did they move elsewhere.
Can you give a bit more background info, so we can help a bit?

Nothing much to go on as yet as I have just started researching this person
- she was a first wife of an ancestor.
I have her in the 1891 census, in Bedminster, and one of her children was living with his grandparents, so that's how I found out about them.
With her husband, Elizabeth moved to Bedminster almost straight after their marriage, then to Warwick. She died in Northampton in 1900.
You say in your message about Conroy entries, but apart from the marriage in 1885, I wouldn't expect to find anything else.
What I'm looking for is Elizabeth JONES' birth around 1867-1870, any details about her parents, and/or siblings.

What name did the husband go by in 1891? was it W. Harrison. If we can find them in the 81 census, that will make things easier for finding her in 71.
What was her fathers occupation?
Then we have something concrete to work on.

I found this 1881 census record too, and it would seem to fit wouldn't it? However, her father (listed as W. Harrison JONES in 1891) was a Joiner. It would seem odd to go from being an Architect in 1881 to a Joiner in 1891 wouldn't it? BUT, I do see the son, John, in 1881 is also Joiner.
I'd like to find her baptism & marriage records. What church would in be in Carnarvon?
Her husband, Peter, came from a Catholic, Irish background, but they may have still got married in the local parish church.

Would Peter not have had to convert before he married in a parish church?
As you have found the marriage in 1885, I would suggest ordering the certificate and we can then take it from there. That would also give the fathers occupation, whether joiner or architect.
So back to the father:
Have you found him in 1901? If so, can you post the information? It looks as if you are working only from the 1891 census.
It would make things easier if we were both working from the same level of information.
